What summer movie are you looking forward to seeing?

The War of the Worlds is on top of the "too watch" list. And it’s not because of Tom Cruise, the original 1953 War of the Worlds has always been one of my favorite movies. I hope that Spielberg doesn’t disappoint me like he did when he remade The Haunting. The original 1963 The Haunting is a classic, scary and not overly done with visual enhancements. You never see the ghosts but you know that they are there.

On Tuesday I watched The American Film Institute top-100 movie quotes. Here are the top five, let’s see if you agree with them.

2. "I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse," from The Godfather.
3. "You don't understand! I coulda had class. I coulda been a contender. I could've been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what I am," from On the Waterfront.
4. "Toto, I've got a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore," from The Wizard of Oz.
5. "Here's looking at you, kid," from Casablanca.

Others on the list were:

6. "Go ahead, make my day." SUDDEN IMPACT
